Visual Concert in El Franco

Visual concert en El Franco

The As Quintas Cultural Centre in El Franco hosted the opening concert of the second edition of the ADAR Festival. An evening that marked a significant step forward in the festival's artistic vision, with six concerts programmed and a visual dimension that transformed the auditorium into an immersive stage.

The second edition of the ADAR Festival began with great enthusiasm. The leap from a single opening concert in 2021 to a programme of six evenings across different Asturian municipalities represented remarkable growth for a still-young project. The As Quintas Auditorium became not only a musical stage but a canvas for Guillermo Laporta's projection design, which enveloped the musicians and completely transformed the perception of the space.

The programme brought together works spanning from Mozart's classicism to the contemporary creations of Caroline Shaw and JP Jofre, through Brahms's romanticism and Dvořák's New World spirit. The combination of classical repertoire, newly created music, and an audiovisual staging defined the artistic identity the festival would consolidate in subsequent editions.

Programme

Johannes Brahms – Quinteto para clarinete y cuerdas en si menor, op. 115
Antonín Dvořák – Cuarteto americano en Fa Mayor, op. 96
Caroline Shaw – Blueprint
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – Quinteto para clarinete y cuerdas en La Mayor, KV 581
JP Jofre – Como el Agua y Primavera
