Concert at the Church of Santa María de Sabada (Colunga)

The Church of Santa María de Sabada in Lastres offered exceptional acoustics for the third concert of the second edition of the ADAR Festival. In this historic setting in Colunga, a devoted audience enjoyed a programme featuring music by Brahms, Dvořák, Mozart, Caroline Shaw, and JP Jofre.

The exceptional acoustics of the Church of Santa María de Sabada provided an ideal sonic setting for chamber music. The young musicians of the ADAR Festival found in this sacred space a natural resonance that enhanced every detail of their performance, from the romantic breadth of Brahms's Quintet to the delicacy of Caroline Shaw's Blueprint.

The Colunga audience, captivated from the first bar, confirmed the growing interest in live classical music in Asturian municipalities. The combination of a heritage space of great beauty with a demanding and varied repertoire made this evening one of the most memorable moments of the edition.
