Guillermo Laporta is a flutist, composer and designer based between Asturias and New York. His work has been featured in The New York Times, The New Yorker, Time Out, The Huffington Post, The Washington Post, EL PAÍS, El Mundo and Japan Entertainment, as well as on national radio and television such as RTVE.
His compositions include the opera-film Architecture of a Common Man (2023), the ballet-opera Two Roads (2020), the opera Noctum (2011) and the musical LONDON, The Show (2009), following a creative line that integrates music, visual narrative and technology.
He is founder and executive director of CreArtBox (NYC) and the ADAR Festival (Asturias), created to activate rural environments through contemporary formats, residencies and mediation. As a performer, he has collaborated with orchestras such as the BBC Orchestra and performed at venues including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.
Education: Royal College of Music (2008-2012), studying with flutist and conductor Jaime Martín.
Josefina Urraca, is a Spanish pianist and co-director of CreArtBox and the Festival ADAR, praised by Mundo Clásico for performances marked by "introspection and musical abandon." Her artistry is defined by expressive depth, a refined sound, and a sensitivity that blends precision with poetic imagination. She has performed in landmark venues such as Salle Cortot in Paris, the Sony Auditorium in Madrid, Carnegie Hall in New York, and Monten Hall in Tokyo, bringing an intimate and narrative approach to every stage.
As co-founder of CreArtBox, she designs stage projects in which classical music interacts with visual and theatrical elements, creating immersive and emotionally intense experiences for contemporary audiences. Her work extends beyond performance to include artistic conception, programming, and collaboration with composers, visual artists, and performers to explore the relationship between space, sound, and narrative.
Since 2021, she has co-directed Festival ADAR, a traveling arts festival in rural Asturias, where music and landscape intertwine in site-specific creations that transform villages into artistic canvases. Her musical voice has been shaped through studies in Madrid, Paris, London, and New York with teachers including Maria João Pires, Dmitri Bashkirov, Ferenc Rados, and Josep Colom. Born in Palencia, she currently divides her artistic life between New York and Asturias.
