This program brings together five works by fundamental composers of the 19th and 20th centuries, in a combination that alternates moments of rhythmic intensity, melodic lyricism and complex chamber textures. From the vibrant colors of Stravinsky's Petrushka to the lyrical subtlety of Mahler, passing through the popular rereading of Falla or the poetic narrative of Mussorgsky, the program offers a journey through different musical languages of modernity.
Closing the program is Pohádka ("Fairy Tale"), one of Janáček's most personal works, inspired by Russian literature and written in an intimate and expressive language for cello and piano.
