Closing Concert in the Glass Greenhouse (Leiguarda, 2024)
The fourth edition of the ADAR Festival closed with a concert in a glass greenhouse built expressly for the occasion in Leiguarda. Located on a plot behind the Church, lent by one of the neighbours, the greenhouse allowed the audience to enjoy the mountains as a backdrop without losing their closeness to the musicians.
Building the glass greenhouse took several days of work: the structure itself, the base to accommodate the musicians and their instruments, and the logistics needed to create an effective performance space in a rural setting. The result was a transparent stage that eliminated barriers between performers, audience, and landscape.
The plot, lent by one of the residents of Leiguarda, sits behind the Church and offers a privileged view of the surrounding mountains. Attendees could take in the landscape while listening to and watching the musicians through the glass structure, in an experience that blended ephemeral architecture, chamber music, and nature.
The programme brought together works by Casarrubios, Mozart, Debussy, Jessie Montgomery, Strauss, and Vivaldi, closing an edition that had taken the festival to new municipalities and formats.
