Concert at the Monastery of Villanueva de Oscos

The ADAR Festival 2025 arrived at the Monastery of Santa María de Villanueva de Oscos, a recently restored site that in 2024 unveiled new roofing after an ambitious conservation process. The Romanesque church and the sober monastic setting provided an exceptional framework for a chamber concert with the festival soloists.

The programme brought together three complementary musical universes: the baroque refinement of Telemann, the stylised folklore of Falla, and the sonic painting of Mussorgsky. Through this aesthetic diversity, the concert proposed a dialogue between eras, styles and ways of storytelling, bringing to the foreground the timbral richness of the ensemble and the collective listening among the performers.
