The Shape of Memory
In the library of the Parador de Corias —a former 11th-century Benedictine monastery in Cangas del Narcea— the trio of María Martínez, Frederieke Saeijs and Josefina Urraca explored the ideas of remembrance and mourning with a chamber programme bringing together Classicism, Impressionism and recent creation.
An intimate evening in one of the most secluded settings in western Asturias, linking the Classicism of Haydn, Lili Boulanger's Nocturne, Messiaen's Louange à l'immortalité de Jésus, Rachmaninoff's Trio élégiaque and Shostakovich's First Piano Trio, alongside a recent work by Brittney Benton.
