Micro Concert at the Capilla de los Dolores (Grado, 2023)
As part of the ADAR Festival's intense day in Grado, Guillermo Laporta offered a solo micro concert at the Capilla de los Dolores, performing Rekindle by Michel van der Aa. An intimate format that anticipated the festival's commitment to activating small heritage spaces with contemporary music.
The Capilla de los Dolores, an intimate space of great symbolic significance in the centre of Grado, hosted a brief but intense musical intervention. Guillermo Laporta performed Rekindle, a work by the Dutch composer Michel van der Aa, a piece that explores the relationship between performer and space through delicate sonic textures and an expressive use of silence.
This micro concert was part of a wider programme that included the sound walk at the Palacio Fontela and the main concert at the Palacio de Miranda-Valdecarzana. The following year, the Capilla de los Dolores would become the setting for an installation and performance by the artist Sarah K. Williams.
