Sound walk in the Cloister of the Parador de Corias
As part of the fifth edition of the ADAR Festival, the musicians spread through the Cloister of the Parador de Corias to offer a sound walk in which Bach and Mozart resonated among the arcades of this former Benedictine monastery.
Every year, the ADAR Festival develops concerts in which musicians, distributed across various points in the space, invite listeners to walk following the music and pause around it. The Cloister of the Parador de Corias, with its monastic architecture and solemn silence, offered an exceptional setting for this format.
The programme was built around the music of Bach, with partitas and suites for solo instruments distributed across the different corners of the cloister. The audience wandered freely, discovering a different musical intervention in every corner. The walk concluded with the second movement of Mozart's Flute Quartet in D major, performed by the assembled ensemble.
Programme
Johann Sebastian Bach – Partita for violin, Partita for flute, Cello Suite No. 3, Sonata for viola
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – Flute Quartet in D major, K. 285 (second movement)
