The Rest is Silence
6th edition · ADAR on tour. The trio The Rest Project at the Auditorio As Quintas in El Franco: fifteen short 20th- and 21st-century pieces threaded with canons from Bach's Musical Offering.
A mosaic programme on solitude —Ligeti, Gubaidulina, Kurtág, Webern, Penderecki, Stravinsky, Gerhard and Cage— broken by the regularity of Bach, with visual staging and no applause between pieces. Played by Maria Florea (violin), Lara Fernández (viola) and Daniel Claret (cello).
