Guest artist · Artist and researcher focused on speculative spaces and experimental sound art
María del Buey (Spain, 1996) is an artist and researcher whose practice centres on creating speculative spaces from which to imagine and question new horizons of existence. She has served as co-director of Catalyst Arts, a platform and gallery in Belfast. Her work has been shown in spaces such as the gallery of the National College of Art and Design (Dublin, 2021), Ormston House (Limerick, 2020), the Goethe-Institut in Dublin (2019-2020), Temple Bar Gallery + Studios (2019) and Medialab-Prado (2019). Her recent projects include a publication in Critical Bastards Magazine and a collaboration with the Instituto Cervantes in Dublin.
